I captured the Kroeker’s sunset beach family photos on the southwest shore in Kihei on Sugar Beach. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! They opted for a mini-session which is perfect for small children, and as you can see, their little one had a blast.

It was an absolute pleasure to have the Kroeker’s back as return clients. I had previously captured their maternity photos, and it was so sweet to see their little one! I love when my clients choose to work with me time after time. Our recent shoot took place at the stunning Sugar Beach in Kihei during the gorgeous sunset hours. Although the winds stayed steady, I love reminding people that they can bring a unique and beautiful element of motion to their images.

The vibes here are close to unbeatable. As I conduct a family session, I always strive to capture a blend of both candid and posed shots. Typically, I begin with the posed photos, allowing my clients to find their footing and settle into a natural rhythm as a family. I guide them on ways to interact with one another, and from there, I let the magic unfold. The sunset this night was eye-catching, casting the most beautiful hues across the sky, while the surrounding ocean and mountain views served as a perfect backdrop, bringing diversity and excitement to their photos.
